A dumbed down version of what used to be a good productivity suite.

Date of Review:  Feb 16, 2009
The Bottom Line: Office 2007 is a failed attempt by Microsoft to convice consumers to "upgrade" when, in fact, the product has been dumbed down.
Review: Any previous version of Office is superior to this. If you are buying a new computer, don't "upgrade" your version of Office. Keep the old version instead. Or, if you have never had a version of Office, buy a used copy of Office XP, Office 2003,...

Microsoft Office 2007 - Frustratingly Powerful

Date of Review:  Aug 11, 2008
The Bottom Line: Office 2007 is very useful and powerful once you figure out how to handle it and get past the fact that it is visually different than 2003.
Review: At this point, almost everyone knows what Microsoft Office is - those programs that come already on your computer when you buy it from a big retailer because you had your tech-savvy nephew order your computer for you. But what happens when your...

Talk about improvements!

Date of Review:  May 15, 2008
The Bottom Line: Great product. User interface is much more organized and lets you have everything you need at first glance. You do not have to dig around for hidden features.
Review: The standard version of Microsoft Office 2007 includes Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.

The main difference that most users will notice is definitely the user interface. Instead of the usual menus on the top left area of the window,...

The Suite is Sweet

Date of Review:  Jun 1, 2008
The Bottom Line: From Microsoft Office 2003 to today's 2007 there are some great upgrades saving time and frustration. The whole Suite is easier to work in with more options
Review: I am in Community College and have taken Office 2007 as a credit class. I really like how the applications work so well together with the same data. The interface has changed and it took me awhile to get used it, though I feel the organization of...

Better than ever before!

Date of Review:  Jul 22, 2008
The Bottom Line: A must have product for anyone that used Office. This new version is clear an concise, detailed and has many new options available for any type of task.
Review: I purchased this product as an upgrade to Office 2003 after having a trial of it from the Microsoft website.

Microsoft Office 2007 has four of the same products from Office 2003, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook. It also offers tool...

What Happened?

Date of Review:  Mar 2, 2008
Review: So what happened to the user-friendly functionality? This version is just ridiculous. It's impossible to navigate through. This version is totally different than past versions.

Buyer beware! It will take you a while to figure out where...

A recommended change from 2003

Date of Review:  Apr 7, 2009
The Bottom Line: Upgrade, upgrade, upgrade! It is worth the getting used to for all of the features and ease of use.
Review: Microsoft Office 2007 is a software "pack" if you will, containing Mircosoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft OneNote.

What Are These Products?

Microsoft Word is a rich feature-full text editor...

Decent product-Good price

Date of Review:  Mar 28, 2008
The Bottom Line: If you need Word and Excel for home use, this is the way to go. Be prepared to deal with customer service though.
Review: After having the same home PC for five years, something happened to my Word and Excel programs and they both stopped running properly. After spending hours on the phone and online with customer service agents about the problem and since I work from...

Office 2007

Date of Review:  May 8, 2009
The Bottom Line: Worth a purchase if you don't have any software, not worth an upgrade - primarly due to cost.
Review: Having used office for many years, I found the change in interface in Office 2007 to be somewhat jarring. It took some time, but I did eventually get used to it.

Feature wise, I do not see too many increases in features from previous...
