Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS / Digital IXUS 80 IS Digital Camera

I had bought this for the birth of my son but, before I ever got to use it, my father took it on a trip to scotland. He never used a camera with a rechargable battery and was afraid that he would be left out in the middle of the boonies with a dead camera. The battery life on this thing is amazing, as it lasted almost an entire week for use on a single charge. I then finally got to use it for my son, and its worked wonders for us. I had thought of getting an SLR but looking at the pictures this one is more then ok, and the portability makes all the difference in the world when you have to carry the diaper bags and stroller and toys. Due to the small bit of delay when taking pictures I'm still thinking of getting an SLR for when my son starts running around or playing sports, but thats years away. I think this is a great mid-level camera for the average user who just wants to take pictures.
