Product Description

 
This lens has two SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements in the front lens group and one in the rear lens group for correction of chromatic aberration throughout the entire zoom range. It is capable of macro photography with a 1:2 maximum close-up magnification at the 300 mm focal length. It also has a switch for changeover to macro photography at focal lengths between 200 mm and 300 mm. It is the ideal high performance lens for portraits, sports photography, nature photography, and other types of photography that frequently use the telephoto range.

The Bottom Line: It's hard to fault this lens once you realize it's only $200. Easily the best buy in this price range but low light focus hunts a little.

The Bottom Line: You can't go wrong at this price and will be pleasantly surprised at the quality of results. Great value for a macro lens like this.
Review: If you are buying a lens with this focal length range at this kind of money, you must judge it against that level. I say that because to expect this to be of the quality or sharpness of an L series Canon or an EX range Sigma is unrealistic.
